Personal data is collected and used to provide information about any health or wider needs that need to be accommodated while delivering personal training sessions and group exercise classes, and to keep you updated about my services.
By signing the relevant pre-activity readiness documents and participating in a personal training session and/or group exercise class, you are confirming that you are happy for me to collect and store your personal data for use strictly in accordance with these purposes.
Privacy Notice for Participants
As a participant in personal training sessions and/or group exercise classes with me, I collect, store and use the personal data provided by you. I do this so that I can manage effectively my training sessions and group exercise classes, and to ensure that you are kept informed and safe.
I may use your data to contact you with updates relating to personal training or group exercise classes, as well as wider group exercise-related, health and or fitness opportunities that I believe may be of interest to you.
Your data is used to inform me about any health or wider needs that need to be considered while delivering your personal training sessions and/or group exercise classes. If you have provided me with emergency contact details, then I will use this data when required. Some of the data collected is specialist category. This includes, without limitation, any data relating to health and disabilities. I collect and use this data to tailor activities to your needs.
Personal data linked to financial records will be retained for a seven-year period. H.M. Revenue and Customs has the right to inspect financial information relating to the previous six years and requires trading entities to keep financial records for this purpose.
I will not share your personal data. All personal data provided to me is stored on a password protected device and/or locked away. The only exception is when I carry paper copies of your personal data to the personal training sessions or group exercise classes that you attend. This is necessary so that your health needs and emergency contact details are to hand should they be required.
Photography
Photography and filming by me in personal training sessions is (i) taken and (ii) used only with your express prior consent to either or both. Photography and filming are beneficial to provide visual feedback, and to demonstrate safe and effective exercise technique.
All group exercise classes take place in public locations. Photographs and filming may be taken in the classes, including by the participants themselves (the classes being public by their nature), and used for promotional purposes. I am not responsible for photographs and filming taken or used by any other person.
You may request details of personal data held about you or withdraw your consent at any time. Please contact me if you have any concerns or would like any more information.
