​This is a common yet challenging goal.  The focus and timescales required depend on the individual and the precise goal, but using structured training techniques combined with appropriate nutritional guidance mean that you can realise your potential.

There are many principles of nutrition and fitness involved in fat or weight loss, including:

  • incorporating activity into daily living;
  • energy balance and creating a calorie deficit;
  • components of energy expenditure;
  • macronutrient balance;
  • making better dietary and nutritional choices;
  • understanding the roles of each food group and nutrient; and
  • biochemical individuality.

Such adaptations can be subtle and paced, it does not need to be an aggressive shock to the system.  Where appropriate, we will discuss and implement techniques to analyse these principles and incorporate strategies in your training programme, as well as everyday life.
