Whatever you call it, studio cycling or spinning is an excellent way to have fun getting fit, working hard and torching calories in a short, but intense, workout.
Classes are usually 45 minutes to one hour long and follow a varied programme of cycling techniques, such as sprinting, climbing (in and out of the saddle) and time-trialling. It is sure to test you – you work at your level. Being indoor, the classes take place whatever the weather and are totally safe, being without traffic! Great, uplifting tunes and motivational instruction are guaranteed; you may even find that if you sing along, you do not notice how hard you are working.
